Is disruptive background noise
part of your office life?

It is not at all surprising to hear that room quality has a significant impact on the well-being and performance of staff. Large-scale studies have also confirmed this. The factors of light, air and noise are therefore some of the biggest challenges in modern office planning and interior design.

WSA-Worklab Dietlikon mit hoher Raumqualitaet

Successful room concepts can be seen, heard and felt
Intelligent interior design starts with structure – the original arrangement and division of space have a vital influence on later room quality. Every workstation must have sufficient daylight, a certain amount of privacy must be provided, and staff should have the possibility to retreat when carrying out work that requires a high level of concentration.

Raumqualität durch Strukturen

Effective spatial structuring goes a long way towards limiting noise distribution.

Light does not only have to be bright
Good lighting is essential to well-being and to a productive and health-promoting working environment. Modern indirect/direct lighting systems and lights facilitate completely glare-free illumination at screen workstations and a harmonious, natural ambience. » to the light at the office overview

Licht - Raumqualität

Lighting as a design element: the playful and creative use of light in customer and meeting areas is another one of the strengths of WSA’s interior designers.

Energy from fresh air
Sufficient fresh air, temperatures of around 21 degrees and no draughts – these are the prerequisites for a good indoor and working climate. WSA plans technical room installations (heating, cooling, ventilation, etc.) together with specialist external companies.

Innenbeschattung - Raumqualität

Individually adjustable interior shading solutions also have a positive effect by reducing sunlight and temperatures.

Noise, the number one disturbing factor in the office
No other topic generates quite as much emotion in the office as noise, with 81% of people in employment claiming that they can work more efficiently with less noise. Room acoustics must be planned carefully: sound must not bounce directly off several workstations, and there should be as few echo surfaces (smooth, hard surfaces) as possible across which this sound can spread throughout the office.

Raumqualität - Akustik durch Einrichtung

In addition to acoustic elements such as ceilings (e.g. suspended ceilings) and floors, fittings and office furniture can also help to reduce office noise levels.
•    Privacy and sound-installation elements with sound-absorbing surfaces
•    Room divider walls with sound-absorbing surfaces
•    Storage systems with sound-absorbing surfaces
