DESCRIPTION
Scala sound-absorbing panels – a playful paraphrase of corrugated iron that also utilises the functionality of the form. “The inspiration came from the many houses in Iceland, where not only the roofs but also the façades are covered in corrugated iron. That’s how the idea of bringing it into the room came about,” explains award-winning designer Anya Sebton. The design of these sound-absorbing panels was not only developed for visual reasons but, above all, to contribute to a softer soundscape.
