Initial situation & goals
Located in Münchenstein, Migros Basel has transformed its open-plan offices from the 1970s into a modern, attractive office environment that promotes interaction.
The office boasts 3,500 m2 of continuous space that can accommodate 200 employees. At the centre of the large space, a ‘village’ was created for communication and as a place of retreat. The result is an interior space consisting of meeting, project and focus rooms, as well as café points, open lounges and meeting points that are perfect for visualising new projects or ideas.
WSA would like to thank Migros for involving its staff in the project from the earliest planning phase. It was a pleasure to learn about people’s individual expectations and to witness their openness to new ideas. The project was completed in three ongoing work phases.
The Migros corporate design and the latest ideas from the field of shop fitting both helped to shape the project.
